Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, seeks an assistant teacher to support small-group instruction and individualized services for students with diverse needs.

The role collaborates with teachers to monitor progress, implement PBIS-based strategies, and maintain a safe classroom environment. You will work with students from varied backgrounds, receive paid training, and benefit from a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor's degree highly preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Lead small group instruction and implement SESI's academic rotational model.
• Provide customized behavior and academic support and conduct formal and informal assessments.
• Reinforce learning by assigning tasks and using data to tailor materials.
• Assist the teacher with large group activities, grading, and supervising students.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Support daily planning and track student growth toward goals.
• Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to address student needs.

Education
