Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, seeks an assistant teacher to support small groups of students with special needs in in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

You will collaborate with teachers to deliver individualized supports, monitor student progress, and maintain a safe, engaging learning environment for diverse learners across our nationwide network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Lead small group instruction and implement SESI’s academic rotational model.
• Partner with the teacher to provide customized behavioral and academic support and conduct assessments.
• Reinforce learning and skills through one-on-one tutorials and data-driven material selection.
• Assist the teacher with large group activities, grading, and enrichment tasks.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Support daily plans and track student growth toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Supervise students and ensure safe transitions between locations.
