Job summary

Mesa Public Schools, Mountain View High School in Mesa, Arizona, is seeking an Instructional Assistant Special Education II - Support. This full-time role supports certified teachers in monitoring and instructing students under IEPs, providing 1:1 or small group instruction and data collection to track progress.

Responsibilities include assisting with instructional materials, data collection, behavior support plans, and collaboration with the SPED team to meet student goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience as an instructional support paraprofessional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and/or small group instruction tailored to student IEP goals.
• Assist the development of instructional materials and maintenance of the classroom.
• Proactively collect and monitor data related to academic and behavioral goals using district tools.
• Assist in modifying curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
• Implement positive behavior intervention plans for students with challenging behaviors.
• Monitor and respond to problem behaviors according to the plans.
• Assist with transitions across campus and daily living activities.
• Perform general clerical tasks to support teachers.
