Tri County Special Education Coop is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional to assist in the supervision, care, and instruction of students with diverse learning needs under the guidance of licensed staff.

The role spans both special education and general education settings, emphasizing punctuality, confidentiality, and the ability to adapt activities to student needs while maintaining a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Health and inoculation certificate on file at the Central Office.
• Meets Highly Qualified status: 1) Associate's Degree or higher, 2) 48 college credit hours, or 3) pass the Master Teacher Test.
• Desire to continue career improvement.

Responsibilities

• Adhere and support the philosophy, mission and policies of Tri-County and the school district.
• Follows daily routine given by supervisor.
• Provides basic supports to students in and/or outside of the classroom setting.
• Maintains student confidentiality.
• Demonstrates rapport with students and provides positive reinforcement.
• Adapt classroom activities to provide participation opportunities for all students.
• Assist with daily care activities (toileting, diapering, tube feeding) as needed.
