Job summary

Tri County Special Education Coop is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional to support students with diverse learning needs under licensed supervision. The role covers classroom and non-classroom assistance, with emphasis on safety, data tracking and daily living supports.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, basic reading/math skills, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth while maintaining confidentiality and positive interactions with students and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Health and inoculation certificate must be on file at the Central Office.
• Meets Highly Qualified status: choose one of the specified pathways.
• Desire to continue career improvement.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and support Tri-County and school district policies.
• Provide basic supports to students in and outside the classroom.
• Maintain confidentiality and appropriate boundaries with students and staff.
• Assist with data collection and timely reporting of inservice, mileage, and health certificates.
• Adapt activities to individual student needs and implement behavior plans.
• Assist with daily care activities as needed and monitor safety.
• Contribute to a positive working environment and communicate effectively.
