Job summary

Greeley-Evans School District 6 is seeking a Special Education Assistant to support students with significant needs. The role involves assisting with classroom activities, providing personal care, and helping track student progress under the supervision of the principal and department director.

The ideal candidate will have an AA degree or 48 semester hours or WorkKeys scores; CPI and CPR/First Aid training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: AA degree or 48 semester hours or passing scores on WorkKeys exam
• Preferred: CPI training (training provided)
• CPR/First Aid (training provided)

Responsibilities

• Support the academic programming and progress of individual students or small groups with significant needs
• Provide student-specific personal care and support
• Assist with daily classroom activities, data collection, sanitizing equipment and materials
• Maintain ability to sit for long periods with attention to distractions and sensory cues
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed to assist students
