Job summary

Amergis in Albany, NY is seeking a School Aide to assist students needing instructional and behavioral support under the supervision of the special education team. The role includes helping with mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed by health professionals.

You will work closely with teachers to implement individualized plans, maintain safety, and help create a positive learning environment. A high school diploma and 18+ age are required, and CPR may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and behavioral assistance to students under supervision.
• Support students with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed.
