Job summary

Equitas Academy Charter Schools in Los Angeles seeks a dedicated RSP/IEP support specialist to deliver IEP service minutes and provide 1:1 and small group support under supervision of the RSP teacher.

You will collaborate with the RSP teacher, participate in IEP meetings, support alternate curriculum lessons, conduct academic assessments, and uphold high expectations and positive discipline policies while communicating with staff, parents, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• AA degree required, BA preferred.
• Criminal clearance, including fingerprints and TB Test.
• Experience supervising children.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certificate within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IEP service minutes under supervision of the RSP teacher.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support and instruction for students.
• Collaborate with RSP teacher to support students with IEPs based on data.
• Participate in IEP meetings.
• Support implementation of alternate curriculum lessons.
• Conduct academic assessments.
• Participate in professional development to refine school culture and academics.
• Maintain high behavioral and academic expectations for students.
• Enforce positive discipline policies.
• Work with and assist teachers during the day with instruction and supervision of students.
• Follow health, safety, and nutrition policies.
• Maintain communication with staff, parents, and stakeholders.
• Other duties as assigned.
