Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs in Oakland, CA is hiring an Instructional Aide to support students in grades K-12. You will help implement IEPs, tailor instruction, monitor progress, and collaborate with teachers to foster a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Starting rate ranges from $22 to $24 per hour based on experience; the role is full-time and on-site in Oakland. Excellent benefits and professional development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; basic skills test completed.
• Associate degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
• Valid CA driver’s license; crisis management training certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to create a supportive, high‑achieving learning environment.
• Implement individualized instruction and behavioral interventions on-site and in community settings.
• Monitor student progress and communicate with teachers about successes and needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and document observations and recommendations.
• Support students in developing academic, social, and life skills.
