Zusammenfassung

ResponsiveEd is seeking a dedicated Special Education Instructional Aide to support teachers and students with diverse disabilities. You will assist in implementing IEPs, monitor student progress, and help manage records and communications with parents and staff.

You will work closely with therapists and campus staff to ensure compliance with state requirements, participate in ARD/REED processes, and help prepare materials and logistics for student activities and assessments.

Qualifikationen

• Must be a high school graduate or hold a GED.
• Have experience working with students or parents as approved by the employing superintendent.
• Must meet ONE of: 3 creditable years as Educational Aide I or II; 30 semester hours of college credit; or completion of an Education Service Center Instructional Aide certification course.

Aufgaben

• Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the classroom teacher and campus administration.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for the students and monitor their progress.
• Provide support for individual students inside and outside of the classroom to enable them to participate fully.
• Work with professionals such as speech therapists, social workers, occupational and physical therapists.
• Assist classroom teachers with maintaining student records.
• Assist in scheduling ARD meetings and REED evaluations ensuring timelines are met.
• Assist in acquiring contracted service providers as needed.
• Ensure student progress is evaluated regularly and findings inform services.
• Send IEP Report Cards to parents with general report cards.
• Plan resources and materials to support general education goals.
• Ensure compliance with state mandated assessments and alternative assessments.
• Assist in RTI processes and coordinate with IDEA Coordination supervisor.
• Support behavior management as it relates to students with disabilities.
• Establish open communication with parents, students, teachers, and admins.
• Implement school policies and guidelines.
• Compile and maintain required reports and records.
• Perform special projects and after-hours work including Saturday tutorials.
