Job summary

ChanceLight Education in Salisbury, NC is seeking an Instructional Aide to support students in Grades K-5 within a Special Education setting. You will assist with implementing IEPs, provide classroom and community-based instruction, and help students build essential skills and independence.

Ideal candidates have related degrees or credentials, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate with teachers while maintaining confidentiality and high standards of professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in a closely related field of study.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a closely related field of study preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain crisis management certification.
• Experience with instructing and supporting children in special education or behavioral health programs.
• Knowledge of technology including instructional tech and basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to create a supportive learning environment.
• Implement engaging, individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals.
• Monitor and document student progress and behavior with timely reporting.
• Communicate with teachers, families, and administrators about student needs and outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and participate in accreditation activities.
