Job summary

Ysleta Independent School District seeks a dedicated Educational Paraprofessional to assist with IEP implementation, supervise students, and support instructional activities. The role includes helping with behavior interventions, preparing materials, and coordinating with teachers to meet individual goals.

The ideal candidate will work under supervision of a certified teacher, participate in staff development, and assist with testing and technology integration in the curriculum.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, plus 48 college hours from an accredited college/university.
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain SBEC paraprofessional certificate.
• Acquire CPR and Heimlich maneuver, and NCI within available district training calendar.
• Must be familiar with/able to use OT/PT apparatus.
• Must be able to communicate, listen, read, write, and comprehend English."

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation of IEPs and support instructional activities.
• Supervise students inside and outside the classroom and assist with behavior management.
• Prepare instructional materials and support teachers with behavioral interventions.
• Work with individual students, small groups, and whole class as assigned by teacher.
• Assist students with disabilities to implement modifications and meet instructional goals.
• Assist with testing instruments and technology integration into the curriculum.
