Job summary

Ysleta Independent School District seeks a paraprofessional to support students with disabilities inside and outside the classroom. You will assist with IEP implementation, behavior support, and instructional activities under the supervision of a certified teacher.

Responsibilities include supervision during lunch, bus, and playground, assist with materials, testing instruments, and technology integration. CPR/NCI certifications are required within the district training calendar, and SBEC

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or higher.
• Forty-eight (48) hours from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain a paraprofessional certificate issued by SBEC.
• Acquire CPR, Heimlich maneuver, and NCI certifications within district training calendar.
• Must be familiar with OT/PT apparatus.
• Must be able to communicate, listen, read, write, and comprehend English sufficiently for daily communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation of IEPs, including self-help and behavior management.
• Support instruction and modifications under teacher supervision.
• Assist with testing measurement instruments and technology integration into the curriculum.
• Supervise students during the school day (lunchroom, bus, playground) and in classroom settings.
• Assist with material preparation, filing, inventory and equipment maintenance.
