Equitas Academy in Los Angeles seeks an Education Specialist to support scholars with IEP goals and to collaborate with families, teachers, and administration. You will lead instruction across core subjects, conduct IEP/SST/504 meetings, and implement restorative practices in a diverse, high-need community.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and an Education Specialist Instruction credential with English Learner authorization, with a commitment to equity and student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Education Specialist Instruction credential (internship, preliminary, or clear) or out-of-state equivalent required.
• English Learner authorization.
• Strong belief that all students can succeed.
• Experience with students in low-income communities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead rigorous instruction in all contents and coordinate with families on progress.
• Lead IEP, SST, and 504 meetings and prepare IEP reports.
• Case management and Welligent compliance for partner Academic Coordinator.
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and instructional assistants to monitor scholar success.
• Engage families and maintain high academic and behavioral expectations.
• Participate in weekly professional development and school-wide initiatives.
