Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools seeks a dedicated Before and After School Support Leader to assist students with special education needs within the district's programs. You will help individuals and small groups with curriculum, implement programming and behavior strategies, and support teachers and families in coordinating supports.

The role emphasizes daily hands-on care, adherence to licensing, and collaboration with school staff to foster safe, inclusive environments for children with diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least three months (455 hours) of verified child care supervision experience OR an early childhood credential.
• Annual training: at least 15 clock hours; ongoing development expected.
• Knowledge of childcare essentials and safety protocols.
• Ability to develop discipline procedures and effectively support behavior.
• Leadership, teamwork, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follows Colorado licensing requirements and adapts programming for individuals or small groups.
• Provide technical care for children with special needs, including toileting, feeding, and device support.
• Implement 504 plan accommodations and monitor progress with staff oversight.
• Maintain safety protocols and foster positive behavior and social interactions.
• Assist with program materials, attendance, and event support.
• Exhibits effective communication with parents, students, staff and district personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Participate in required professional development trainings.
