Job summary

Cherry Creek School District is seeking a Before and After School Leader to assist the program director in planning and implementing the child care program. You will help develop and promote good community relations among school and community clients while supporting quality programming.

The role involves supervising students during program times, coordinating activities, and contributing to program enhancements while ensuring licensing and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• Leader must demonstrate ability to work with children
• Annual requirement: 15 clock hours of training (June 1–May 31)
• Knowledge of childcare fundamentals
• Ability to develop and apply appropriate discipline
• Leadership and management ability
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)

Responsibilities

• Follows and enforces all Colorado Department of Early Childhood licensing requirements.
• Supervises and engages with students during program times.
• Communicates with parents, students, staff and district personnel.
• Maintains safe conditions for students and staff.
• Promotes and markets before/after care and full-day programs.
• Develops quality lesson plans and supports daily activities.
