We are seeking a highly organized, flexible, and student-centered Special Education Administrative Assistant to support the effective operation of our PreK–8 special education programs. This position works closely with the Special Education Director, special education staff, families, transportation providers, and other school personnel to ensure students receive consistent services and that special education processes are completed accurately and in accordance with state and federal requirements.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working with confidential information, and willing to step into a variety of roles to meet the day-to-day needs of students and staff, including transportation of students in a van as needed. It is 8 hours a day for 220 days. Pay range is $21.24 to $26.60 depending on experience. Includes health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and other benefits.
This position requires a Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check certification.
