Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Confidentiality of student and staff information.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and participate in daily activities.
• Must be able to follow written and oral directions.
• Flexibility and teamwork with staff.
• Regular daily attendance is essential.
• Willingness to participate in professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assist or carry out educational activities designed by teachers and therapists.
• Assist students with toileting and self-care activities.
• Transport students on the van/bus and help load/unload.
• Prepare teaching materials related to the curriculum.
• Carry out structured behavior programs as directed by staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Interact with paraprofessionals and professional staff as directed.
• Carry out programs in school and non-school settings as directed.
