The position supports classroom activities, assists with student care and transporting duties, maintains cleanliness, and records data under the guidance of licensed staff. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and the ability to lift 50 pounds; confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Walk/stand/bend/twist/reach overhead as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist or directly carry out educational activities designed by teacher and support personnel.
• Assist students with toileting needs and diaper changing.
• Carry out self-care programs including feeding, brushing and grooming.
• Load/unload students on the van/bus.
• Maintain a cheerful, clean classroom and restrooms.
• Collect and record data; make teaching materials; carry out behavior programs as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality; interact with students as directed.
• Work as part of educational team and in diverse settings.
