Job summary

Boston Public Schools (BPS) seeks an exceptional Special Education/Resource Room teacher with an SEI Endorsement. This long-term sub position starts 9/1/2026 and ends 5/19/2027. Substitutes are hired as per diem subs at the per diem rate of pay, with opportunities to support students toward IEP goals in a high-expectations setting.

Reports to: Principal/Head of School. Duties include implementing district goals, providing targeted instruction, and collaborating with staff to meet diverse student

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Massachusetts Teaching License in Moderate Disabilities required.
• ESL license or SEI endorsement required.
• Eligibility to work in the United States by start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group instruction to students with moderate to severe cognitive delays.
• Write and implement IEP goals and provide progress reports.
• Provide accommodations for learning and testing; develop curriculum as needed.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student needs and modifications.
• Assist students transitioning to adult living services when appropriate.
