Hackensack Public Schools seeks a Teacher Leader for Special Education (grades 5–12) to support district-level instructional leadership. The role focuses on data-driven planning, collaborative learning, and MTSS implementation to strengthen Tier 1 instruction and targeted supports.

The Teacher Leader will guide colleagues through data conversations, lead PLCs, and facilitate professional learning aligned with NJ standards and district priorities.

Formación

• Currently employed as a teacher in Hackensack Public Schools with valid New Jersey instructional certificate.
• Knowledge of district curriculum, NJ Student Learning Standards, and evidence-based practices.
• Ability to analyze and interpret student data to guide instructional next steps.
• Experience leading PLCs, collaborative planning, and professional learning.
• Understanding MTSS and tiered supports in a district setting.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional judgment.

Responsabilidades

• Lead structured data conversations using district protocols to examine student achievement and guide instructional next steps.
• Facilitate PLCs and collaborative planning across grades 5–12.
• Support MTSS implementation through professional learning and collaboration.
• Coordinate building- and district-wide professional learning aligned with standards.
• Prepare agendas and materials for meetings; document planning activities.
• Maintain time records and provide progress updates to leadership.
