Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six semester hours of coursework in early childhood education or two years of work experience in an early childhood setting (Title I schools).
• Maintain CPI certification; CPI training provided by WCPSS.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to teachers in coordinating instructional programs for special education students and IEPs.
• Assists with strategies for implementing behavioral intervention plans.
• Aids planning, organizing, and preparing materials according to lesson plans.
• Maintains confidentiality and appropriate records.
• Supports student transitions between classes and assists with health care needs as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
