Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking an experienced Special Education Instructional Assistant-General Curriculum to support instructional programs for students with disabilities across elementary, middle, or high schools. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, CPI certification responsibilities, and the ability to work with diverse learners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
• Ability to protect confidentiality (FERPA) and follow laws and district policies.
• Ability to work in teams and communicate clearly in writing and speech.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with coordinating instructional programs for special education students and IEPs.
• Support implementation of behavioral intervention plans and classroom procedures.
• Prepare materials and ensure they are available for lessons.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate records and reports.
• Support student transitions between classes and assist with health care needs.
• Participate in district staff development and professional growth.
