Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED. 48 college credits, AA degree, or passing specific exams.
• 1–3 years' experience with students with behavioral, communicative and/or intellectual needs.
• CPR/First Aid training within first year of hire.
• Crisis Prevention training within first year of hire.
• Registered Behavior Technician training within first year of hire.
• Clear, concise oral and written communication.
• Willingness to participate in professional development.

Responsibilities

• Under direction of certified staff, support students with IEPs.
• Document student progress and communicate with team.
• Set up materials and assistive devices as directed.
• Assist students toward independence and classroom accessibility.
• Monitor students during activities and assist with personal care as needed.
• Assist with administering, scoring, and recording assessments.
• Attend IEP and staff meetings as directed.
