Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Staff Nurse Inpatient-Kishwaukee to provide high-quality nursing care in accordance with hospital policies. The RN will perform assessments, develop care plans, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

The role requires a BSN, active Illinois RN license, and BLS certification, with strong communication and teamwork skills to support patient education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• BSN degree and active Illinois Registered Nurse license (or ADN with plan to obtain BSN within 3 years)
• AHA BLS certification required
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop care plans.
• Coordinate with physicians and care team for patient management.
• Document care, educate patients and families, and ensure safe medication administration.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
• Follow standards of care and hospital policies for safe practice.
