Northwestern Medicine is seeking an inpatient Staff Nurse at Kishwaukee unit in DeKalb, IL. The RN provides high-quality, evidence-based care using the nursing process, collaborates with physicians and the care team, and supports discharge planning.

Requirements include a BSN, Illinois RN license, and BLS; ADN is acceptable with commitment to upgrade BSN within three years. Strong interpersonal skills preferred.

Qualificações

• BSN degree required.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years.

Responsabilidades

• Performs nursing care using the nursing process to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
• Assesses patient needs and education for patient/family.
• Coordinates communication with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Participates in discharge planning and teaching of patients and families.
• Documents treatments, assessments and patient responses accurately.
• Ensures patient safety and adheres to Standards of Care.
