Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required for all new hires after 01/01/2011.
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
- One year of experience in similar role.
- CPR - Basic Life Support.
- CPR - Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
- CPR - Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- Three years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities
- Nursing process: collect data, set outcomes, plan and coordinate care, evaluate progress.
- Directs care and utilization of any assistants involved in direct patient care.
- Involves patient/family in care, teaching, discharge planning.
- Assesses pain and uses pain management techniques.
- Performs effective hand-offs to the next healthcare provider.
- Assumes required on-call assignments.
