Job summary

QPS Employment Group in Franklin, WI is hiring for Special Assembly on the 1st shift. This is a potential to hire position with a 6:00am–4:30pm schedule, Monday through Thursday, and a starting wage of $19.00 per hour.

Assemble parts, set up your workstation, check quality, and perform basic data entry in a fast-paced environment. QPS is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Basic data-entry skills and ability to use a computer.
• Solid math skills for basic calculations.
• Good hand dexterity for handling small parts.
• Ability to stand up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Pull and transport parts from storage to the workstation.
• Set up and organize your workstation with minimal supervision.
• Remove burrs and rough edges from parts; apply lubricant and fit components.
• Assemble components using bolts, screws, and rivets; connect wires as needed.
• Operate basic shop equipment and move subassemblies to storage area.
• Perform basic data entry and clock in/out per job.

Position Title: Special Assembly Wage: $19.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am - 4:30pm (Monday - Thursday) Reached a dead end at your current job? Check out how this position can create a new path! Special Assembly Responsibilities:

• Pull and transport parts from storage to the workstation
• Set up and organize your own workstation with minimal supervision
• Remove burrs and rough edges from plastic and other parts
• Apply lubricant and fit components together
• Check parts for proper alignment and clearance
• Assemble components using bolts, screws, and rivets
• Operate hydraulic, pneumatic, and drill press equipment
• Connect electrical wires to terminals
• Move completed subassemblies to the designated storage area
• Perform basic computer tasks, including data entry and clocking in/out of jobs
• Follow written and verbal instructions and maintain quality standards

Requirements for Special Assembly:

• High School Diploma/GED is a plus
• Previous assembly experience is a plus
• Basic computer and data-entry skills
• Basic math skills
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Comfortable working at a fast pace with minimal supervision
• Good hand dexterity and ability to work with small partsAble to stand for up to 8 hours as needed
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, with frequent lifting of 13-35 lbs
• Able to use stairs/ladder to pull parts is a plus
