Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking an Assembler for a 1st shift position in Beaver Dam, WI. The role pays $18.00 per hour and runs 6:00am–2:00pm with mandatory overtime.

You will start by studying instructions and blueprints, preparing materials, and assembling components to meet specifications. Ideal candidates have manufacturing experience, can follow instructions at a steady pace, and communicate well within a team.

Responsibilities

• Resolve assembly issues by adjusting dimensions if needed and notify supervisor.
• Document actions by filling production and quality forms.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness according to procedures and rules.

Assembler Responsibilities:

• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Ensures compliance with corporate and plant safety standards
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

Requirements for Assembler:

• Able to occasional lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Able to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend up to 10 hours a day
• Able to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms up to 10 hours a day
• Previous manufacturing experience
• Able to follow instructions and work at a consistent pace
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team
