Job summary

thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services seeks a Warehouse Team Lead I to supervise and coordinate activities on the warehouse floor in Kyle, TX. You will train staff, monitor performance, ensure safety, and coordinate with the onsite manager to meet customer requirements.

You will lead shift start activities, manage tools and PPE, and maintain accurate records. This role requires the ability to work rotating shifts and manage up to 15 team members in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a team lead or supervisor.
• Strong leadership and multi-tasking ability.
• Ability to manage a team of up to 15 people.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work days, afternoons, nights, overtime and weekend shifts.
• Reliable attendance is essential.
• Experience in automotive or industrial setting is an asset, training provided.
• Must be comfortable with scanners and tablets for data keeping and time entries.
• Previous professional interactions with customers/vendors.
• Must read, write and speak basic English.
• Computer literate, MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint and email.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the inspection process and customer product inspections for assigned tables.
• Lead by example and maintain organization and housekeeping in all facility areas.
• Ensure employees work safely and in line with health and safety policies.
• Report accidents or incidents to a supervisor immediately.
• Coordinate shift start activities (table requirements, paperwork, duties).
• Ensure tools and materials are available to complete jobs on site.
• Provide on-the-job training for new work instructions when applicable.
• Be accountable for personnel assigned to specific jobs.
• Provide input to Onsite Manager on objectives and tasks.
• Report policy/procedure violations to Onsite Manager.
• Participate in health and safety initiatives and requirements.
• Interact with customers regularly to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain documentation and paperwork daily.
• Ensure tool kits, PPE, and materials are available for jobs.
• Comply with tk regulations and site rules.
• Maintain site badge access when required.
• Perform cycle time studies for quoting new jobs.
