Job summary

AbbVie seeks a National Training Manager to design, develop, and deliver training solutions for a field sales organization. The role balances training and brand strategy, building relationships with stakeholders and coaching field teams to improve performance.

The candidate should demonstrate strategic alignment, strong coaching skills, and experience leading cross-functional training initiatives within the pharmaceutical industry.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field sales experience in pharmaceutical industry as an Account Executive or District Manager or 2+ years sales training experience
• Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products (e.g. CFR 210/211, cGMP)
• Prior experience leading projects with regional or national impact
• High performing sales track record and strong understanding of what drives success in a commercial organization

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and delivers training solutions aligned with brand strategy across the franchise.
• Builds trust with stakeholders through regular interaction and measurable partnerships.
• Leverages L&D platforms and content to minimize duplication while delivering effective programs.
• Communicates clearly to stakeholders to maintain positive relationships and alignment.
• Provides actionable feedback to training participants and coaches National Field Trainers.
• Coaches NFT across the organization to help them excel in their roles.
• Develops Guest Trainers and Rotational Trainers with meaningful engagement and coaching.
• Integrates training activities into brand team business plans and cross-functional initiatives.
