The Spare Parts Coordinator plays a key role within Valmet. This position manages customer orders throughout the entire Order-to-Cash process, from order entry to payment receipt, while ensuring effective communication between customers and internal stakeholders. The role combines hands‑on order management with leadership support responsibilities, ensuring efficient operations and high levels of customer service. Success requires strong relationship‑building, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of best practices for order management and customer communication. Serve as an escalation point for complex customer, order, pricing, delivery, and invoicing issues. Coordinate with Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse, and Finance teams to streamline workflows, remove bottlenecks, and improve customer service. Support strategic initiatives and contribute to cross‑functional projects that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Foster strong relationships with key customers and accounts to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and long‑term business growth. Participate in periodic calls with Sales to review customer order status, priorities, and opportunities. Process customer orders for parts and consumables received via email and other communication channels, and provide timely order acknowledgements. Identify requested items using Valmet documentation, engineering, and business systems. Determine item costs, lead times, and availability through collaboration with internal stakeholders and available information systems. Establish sales pricing in accordance with Valmet policies. Act as the primary customer contact regarding order status, delivery schedules, pricing inquiries, and issue resolution. Provide timely and accurate order status updates to customers. Support accounts receivable activities.
