Wilbraham & Monson Academy in Wilbraham, MA is seeking a maternity leave Spanish teacher for mid-November 2026 through June 1, 2027. 6-PG Day and Boarding School located in Wilbraham, Mass.

WHO WE ARE:

Wilbraham & Monson Academy, situated on 400+ acres in Western Massachusetts, is an independent day and boarding school of 410 students in Grades 6 - postgraduate. There are 80 students in the Middle School as well as a dormitory housing students in Grades 7 and 8.

ACADEMIC PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITIES

Wilbraham & Monson Academy seeks maternity leave coverage for a Spanish Teacher from mid November 2026 until June 1st, 2027. The position will work with students in grades 6-12, teaching two classes of Spanish 2 in our middle school and two classes of Spanish 3/3Honors in our upper school. There are 9 to 14 students per class. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher who will inspire a love of learning the language in their students and help them become efficient communicators.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will be an educator with a:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Spanish or relevant field
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Spanish or Education
• Preferred: Native or close to native proficiency in Spanish
• Minimum of 2-3 years of successful teaching experience
• Demonstrated understanding of differentiated teaching and learning approaches
• Familiarity with ACTFL Proficiency Standards
• Track record of collaboration with colleagues
• Demonstrated classroom organization and management

TWO EMPLOYMENT OPTIONS (Responsibilities and Compensation differ)

• 1- Teaching classes only, no other responsibilities. (considered part time)
• 2 - Teaching, assistant coaching one sport, and helping with two weekends of student activities. (considered full time)
