Wilbraham & Monson Academy in Wilbraham, MA is seeking a maternity leave Spanish teacher for mid-November 2026 through June 1, 2027. The role will serve grades 6–12, teaching two Spanish 2 sections in the middle school and two Spanish 3/3 Honors sections in the upper school, with class sizes of 9–14 students.

The candidate should inspire language learning and communicate effectively. The position offers two employment options (part-time teaching only or full-time with coaching and weekend

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or related field
• Master’s degree preferred
• Native or near-native Spanish proficiency preferred
• 2–3 years of teaching experience
• Familiarity with ACTFL Proficiency Standards
• Experience collaborating with colleagues
• Demonstrated classroom organization and management

Responsibilities

• Teach two Spanish 2 classes in middle school (grades 6–8)
• Teach two Spanish 3/3 Honors classes in upper school (grades 9–12)
• Inspire a love of learning and build communicative proficiency in students
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and assess curriculum
