The Christa McAuliffe Charter School is an Expeditionary Learning charter school serving sixth‑to‑eighth‑grade students in the Greater Boston area. The mission is to cultivate within each student an intense commitment to self and community, the courage to set high standards, and the skills and attitudes to achieve those standards.
As a Spanish Teacher, you will engage students in learning about the language and culture of Spanish‑speaking peoples. You will collaborate with the World Language team and the Director of Teaching and Learning for curriculum and lesson planning, and contribute to ongoing curriculum development for our Spanish classes.
You will plan and deliver instruction aligned with recognized standards for middle school‑level world languages and assess students’ mastery. Your responsibilities include:
Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods, move around the classroom and school building to assist students, lift or move instructional materials up to 25 lbs occasionally, and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents in person and digitally.
Salary Range: $41,952 (step 0, Bachelor’s) – $84,016 (step 20, Master’s). Final base salary will be determined based on skills, education, and experience.
