Job summary

Bridges Public Charter School in Washington, DC seeks a Spanish-speaking ECE Special Education ABA Teacher Assistant for PreK–K. You will support a high-needs classroom under the supervision of a BCBA, implementing DTI, social skills, and behavior plans while partnering with families.

Qualifications include strong Spanish language skills, an AA/BA/MA or HS diploma, and Praxis ParaPro; RBT preferred. Collaboration with staff and translation duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong Spanish speaking language skills.
• AA/BA/MA or HS diploma and Praxis ParaPro exam.
• RBT certification preferred; ABA/VB training provided to sit for RBT exam.
• Coursework in early childhood education or development.
• Experience with children or students with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher in planning and managing an early childhood self-contained classroom for high-needs students.
• Support development and implementation of behavioral and social skills instruction with BCBA supervision.
• Assist with data collection and progress monitoring (IEP, ABA, VB).
• Support daily routines: attendance, breakfast/lunch, recess, and transitions.
• Collaborate with special education staff, ELL teacher, and other assistants; translate as needed.
• Communicate with families and participate in parent conferences.
