Job summary

Bridges Public Charter School is seeking a Spanish-speaking Dedicated Aide to support students with special needs in inclusive and non-categorical classrooms for grades Pre-K3 through 5th. The role includes assisting with specialized instruction and ADLS, under supervision of a BCBA, with ABA/VB training provided.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, Spanish proficiency, and experience in special education is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; ParaPro credentials preferred.
• Must speak Spanish.
• Experience in special education and/or with autism/severe behavioral needs preferred.
• Willingness to train in ABA/VB.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lead Teacher to manage a non-categorical self-contained/inclusion classroom.
• Assist with Adaptive Daily Living Skills (ADLS) and use of assistive technology.
• Maintain student safety and model professional conduct.
• Support assigned students during instruction with physical and academic support.
• Regularly collect data to track progress in curriculum, IEP, ADLS, and ABA/VB.
• Follow Functional Communication Protocols & Behavior Protocols to respond to students' behavior.
• Collaborate with Lead Teacher, speech, PT, OT, ELL teacher, School Nurse, and Assistants to address student needs.
• Attend school events outside regular hours.
• Contribute to a positive classroom culture and environment.
