Qualifications

• Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, special education, or working with children is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
• Strong interest in working with individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
• Ability to assist with ADLs and support behavioral health initiatives effectively.

Responsibilities

• Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions tailored to each child's needs using principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, and toileting, promoting independence and confidence.
• Collect and record data on behavior patterns, skill acquisition, and progress to inform treatment plans.
• Support children during therapy sessions by encouraging participation and reinforcing positive behaviors.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop and modify individualized care plans and behavior management strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including medical records and progress notes.
• Foster a safe, engaging environment that promotes learning, socialization, and emotional well-being.
