Brighter Tomorrow Behavioral Services in Paterson, NJ, is seeking a Behavior Technician to support children with autism in a home setting. This paid summer position offers a competitive hourly salary, a Monday–Friday schedule from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, or working with children is preferred but not required.
• Strong interest in working with individuals with developmental disabilities, especially ASD.
• Ability to assist with ADLs and support behavioral health initiatives effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, families, and team members.
• Comfortable working in a clinical environment that emphasizes patient care and behavior management techniques.
• Knowledge of HIPAA is advantageous.

Responsibilities

We need a SPANISH speaking tech for a 3.5 year old male and the schedule is: Mon - Fri. 4:00p. - 6:00p

Duties

Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions tailored to each child's needs using principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA)

Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, and toileting, promoting independence and confidence

Collect and record data on behavior patterns, skill acquisition, and progress to inform treatment plans

Support children during therapy sessions by encouraging participation and reinforcing positive behaviors

Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop and modify individualized care plans and behavior management strategies

Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including medical records and progress notes

Foster a safe, engaging environment that promotes learning, socialization, and emotional well-being

Requirements
