Job summary

Brighter Tomorrow Behavioral Services in Paterson, NJ, is seeking a Behavior Technician to support children with autism in a home setting. You will implement individualized ABA plans, assist with daily living skills, and collaborate with a team to promote developmental progress in a supportive environment.

This paid summer position offers a competitive hourly salary, a Monday–Friday schedule from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, or working with children is preferred but not required.
• Strong interest in working with individuals with developmental disabilities, especially ASD.
• Ability to assist with ADLs and support behavioral health initiatives effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, families, and team members.
• Comfortable working in a clinical environment that emphasizes patient care and behavior management techniques.
• Knowledge of HIPAA is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions tailored to each child’s needs using ABA principles.
• Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting independence.
• Collect and record data on behavior patterns, skill acquisition, and progress.
• Support children during therapy sessions by encouraging participation and reinforcing positive behaviors.
• Collaborate with supervisors to develop and modify individualized care plans and behavior management strategies.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and progress notes.
• Foster a safe, engaging environment that supports learning and development.
