Job summary

Yuma County Ag seeks a Spanish Outreach Librarian to coordinate Spanish language services for the public and lead outreach staff. The role includes guiding service delivery, assisting with training, and producing program statistics.

You will collaborate with the Community Relations Manager on marketing, deliver presentations, and engage with Spanish-speaking communities while managing materials and event logistics.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Library Science, Spanish Communications, Education or related field, plus two years’ library services experience.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, including speaking, reading and writing to serve Spanish-speaking communities.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain; background check completed; valid Arizona driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Spanish language library services for the public under supervision.
• Lead library staff, oversee functions in the absence of supervisor and train new outreach personnel.
• Collect and report statistics for Spanish Outreach; assist with selecting Spanish materials and outreach events.
• Work with Community Relations Manager on marketing and community outreach; conduct presentations.
• Assist patrons, explain policies, issue cards, handle fees and fines, shelve materials.
• Plan and coordinate outreach activities; manage event registrations and schedules.
