Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related or healthcare field preferred. Completion of medical interpreter certificate program and/or interpretation program/degree.

Responsibilities

• The Interpreter/Translator is responsible for oral interpretation and written translation for non-English speaking patients and their families, and healthcare team members.
• Acts as a cultural liaison between department staff and families, ensuring family centered care.
