Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Oregon Health Authority Certified or Qualified (HCI).
• One year of interpretation experience.
• Fluent in written and oral Spanish; strong English skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Cultural competence and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to triage information and make decisions under pressure.
• Self-directed, organized, and flexible in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities

• Answer the telephone professionally and schedule patient appointments.
• Provide accurate interpreting for patients, families, providers, and staff.
• Explain clinic resources, office protocols, and processes to patients.
• Assist with patient follow-up as needed.
• Participate in patient outreach to support quality measures.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information.
