Job summary

KACE Company is seeking a Linguist for Spanish (Mexican). The role involves real-time and recorded transcription from Spanish to English, supporting sensitive law enforcement work. You will produce accurate, court-ready written products and document slang terms for project use.

Applicants should have at least 1 year translation experience, strong Spanish-English skills, and be able to work as-needed, including day and night shifts. Travel to client sites is required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year translation experience in Spanish.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican Spanish colloquialisms and slang.
• Excellent written and spoken skills in English and Spanish.
• Ability to score 3+ on a language assessment (Listening/Speaking/Reading/Writing).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Listen to live or recorded Spanish communications and produce synopses and transcriptions.
• Provide timely information to law enforcement personnel when supporting live monitoring.
• Maintain a master slang/term list for project duration.
• Transcribe and translate calls and documents as assigned.
• Produce court-ready, clearly formatted transcriptions.
