KACE Company is seeking a part‑time linguist to provide Spanish to English transcription and translation for sensitive law enforcement work. This role supports live and recorded material, requiring accuracy, speed, and familiarity with regional Mexican dialects.

The position is on‑site in multiple US locations, with travel to client sites as needed. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of translation experience, pass a language assessment, and be able to operate government software.

Qualifications

• Spanish language translation experience required; Mexican dialect knowledge preferred.
• Must type 45 words per minute and have strong grammar and spelling.
• Ability to use government‑provided software and basic IT tools.
• Security clearance eligibility and US citizenship or permanent residence required.
• Ability to pass a third‑party language assessment (Listening/Speaking/Reading/Writing).

Responsibilities

• Transcribe and translate real‑time or recorded Spanish to English.
• Produce court‑ready, accurately formatted transcriptions.
• Maintain slang/terms dictionaries and voice libraries for projects.
• Support live monitoring with timely communication to law enforcement.
• Meet daily productivity targets and document work logs.
