Job summary

KACE Company is seeking a part-time Linguist (Spanish Mexican) to perform real-time or recorded transcription from Spanish to English in support of sensitive law enforcement work.

Responsibilities include listening to live or recorded Spanish communications, producing accurate transcriptions, and communicating pertinent information to law enforcement personnel. Travel to client sites is required; a Public Trust or ability to obtain is required.

Qualifications

• Verbal and written Spanish-English translation experience required.
• Ability to pass a language assessment (Listening/Speaking/Reading/Writing).
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Listen to live or recorded Spanish communications and produce summaries and transcriptions.
• Provide timely information to law enforcement personnel.
• Build a slang/codes master list for the project duration.
• Transcribe and translate calls and documents as assigned.
• Produce court-ready transcriptions in required formats.
