Job summary

KACE Company is seeking a part-time linguist to provide real-time or recorded transcription from Spanish to English for sensitive law enforcement work in multiple U.S. locations, including New Orleans, LA. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and timely written products.

You will work up to 40 hours per week on projects, with potential day or night shifts and weekends. Applicants must have a high school diploma, at least one year of translation experience in Spanish, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Minimum one year translation experience in Spanish requested.
• Strong written/spoken Spanish with knowledge of Mexican dialects and slang.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Able to achieve a language assessment score of 3 or better in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Listen to Spanish communications and produce synopses and transcripts.
• Communicate pertinent information to law enforcement personnel in a timely manner.
• Build and maintain slang/term lists and a voice library for the project.
