Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in editorial work.
• 3–5 years of professional editing experience.
• Full fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong grammar, style, and editorial workflow knowledge.
• Solid knowledge of Scripture and evangelical Christian thought.

Responsibilities

• Edit and shape Spanish-language manuscripts to meet quality standards.
• Provide thoughtful feedback to authors through the writing and revision process.
• Review submissions and advise on publishing strategy and editorial direction.
• Collaborate with copyeditors, freelance contributors, and internal teams from concept to final product.
• Assess outlines and early drafts to shape strong manuscripts.
• Develop and maintain editorial materials like style sheets and galleys.
• Keep projects on schedule by flagging timelines and challenges.
• Participate in editorial team meetings and help drive process improvements.
• Mentor and support fellow editors as needed.
• Represent Tyndale at industry events and within the publishing world.
