Job summary

JLW Immigration Law Group in Austin, Texas is seeking a Spanish-speaking Immigration Paralegal with 2+ years deportation defense and humanitarian relief experience to join a firm that values tenacity and ethics. You will manage case progression, communicate with clients, coordinate with support staff, and ensure timely preparation for court appearances, bond hearings, and USCIS/EOIR proceedings.

Strong preference for hybrid work in Austin or San Antonio; remote work possible in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Spanish fluency is required.
• Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of deportation defense and humanitarian relief experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary case-management and case-preparation collaborator with the Senior Removal Defense Attorney.
• Take ownership of case progression, keeping matters organized and moving, and prepare high-quality work for attorney review.
• Communicate with clients and coordinate with support staff, anticipating next steps and managing deadlines.
• Assist with a wide range of immigration applications under attorney supervision, including asylum, VAWA, family petitions, waivers, and adjustment of status.
