Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Test Design Engineer II in the Greater Seattle Area to lead development, qualification, and production test campaigns for New Glenn systems. You will own planning and execution of component and subassembly tests across mechanical, actuated, hydraulic, cryogenic, and pneumatic domains.

Candidates should have a B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and at least 3 years of testing experience (5+ preferred); strong communication, detail orientation, and the ability to

Qualifications

• 3+ years of component testing and data analysis experience.
• Strong detail orientation and organizational skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication at both executive and shop-floor levels.
• Ability to manage multiple project schedules concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, and produce test campaigns for mechanical, actuated, hydraulic, cryogenic, and pneumatic systems.
• Author and maintain detailed test procedures; conduct readiness reviews and pre-test briefings.
• Coordinate with design, operations, and technicians to execute tests.
• Identify fixtures, support equipment, and data acquisition needs for testing.
• Drive testing efficiency while maintaining safety and quality.
